About Franke OAK110LN Oceania 30 3/4" Single Bowl Undermount Fireclay Kitchen Sink in Linen

The Oceania Single Bowl Undermount Fireclay Kitchen Sink is a unique Franke design to enhance your decor and suit your lifestyle. Everything is created with the utmost attention to quality and design. The sink is made from natural materials such as feldspar and quartz. Before and after drying, the molded sink is worked and fettled by hand. After glazing, it fired in a kiln for 20 hours at 2,220 ° F. Due to this process, dimensions of fireclay sinks can vary plus or minus 2%. The result is an elegant, sculpted sink with an extremely hard, scratch resistant surface.

Product Benefits

Fireclay - Wonderfully Elegant

The perfect blend of nature and design, fireclay is made of liquid ceramic which is then fired to create a material that feels incomparably smooth and is tremendously hard-wearing. Whether you prefer classic or modern design, you will simply love the delicate shapes and expressive colors of our Fireclay sinks

Cleaning and caring for Fireclay Sink

Franke Fireclay is one of the most hygienic and easiest to clean surfaces available. Just wipe your fireclay with a moist cloth and apply some mild liquid soap for a simple and effective cleaning solution.

  • Everyday tips - For everyday cleaning of your fireclay sink, using a soft cloth or sponge with some mild liquid soap or any vinegar-based cleaner is ideal
  • Stubborn stains - In rare cases, metal objects like forks and knives may leave stains on ceramic surfaces if left for long periods of time. To get rid of this type of stain you can use the same sort of cleaners made for glass and ceramic cooktops. These can usually be found at your local appliance or hardware store

What to avoid on Fireclay Sink

  • Scouring liquid or scouring powder
  • Highly concentrated drain cleaners
  • Cleaners for faucet fittings and steel

Key Features & Innovations

Franke Highly Durable

Fireclay is an extremely tough, scratch-resistant surface that is harder than metal and impervious to acids and bleaches.

Franke Simply hygienic

The smooth, dirt-resistant finish makes cleaning faster. Tea, coffee or even red wine stains are easily removed. A standard washing-up liquid or vinegar-based cleaner is ideal, especially in areas with particularly hard water. So there’s no need to use a strong, chemical cleaner.

Franke the Ideal Standard Gauge

The standard gauge describes the thickness of a metal sheet, on a scale from 8 to 30. The thicker it is, the less it can be bent or dented and the quieter it is in use. But if too thin, it becomes impossible to produce a sink from a single sheet of metal.

  • Deep-drawn sinks in full size have a standard 18-20 gauge
  • Hand-made sinks have a standard 16-18 gauge
  • Smaller accessory bowls are standard gauge 18-22
