About Kichler 360002MWH 24" Ceiling Fan Downrod with 1" Diameter - Sold as a package of 10

This Kichler Lighting Ceiling Fan 24" Downrod adds the extra length needed if higher ceilings are an issue. The ceiling height recommended for a 24" downrod is about 11 feet, but it depends on your need and the look or feel you are installing the ceiling fan for. In any installation, the tips of the blades must be at least 18" from the wall in order to provide sufficient clearance for the blades and for safety reasons, the fan blades must be a minimum of 7 feet above the floor. This fixture is UL listed for a hardwire connection in a dry location.
